This software can of course be used to create plans and manage their execution as other Planner applications. This version is unique because having Planner Premium one can create plan templates for the whole organisation or workgroup by adding custom properties, formulas computed based on other properties of any other object of the plan, hiding or showing various perspectives and even by hiding unused views and related objects. This version makes it easier to enforce project management standards within a company.

P2ware Planner Professional is intended for people responsible for creating plans and managing their execution often called project managers. Planner Professional has all advanced planning tools. The main difference between Professional and Premium is that Professional does not have advanced customisation features present in Premium, i.e. users of Professional can use plan templates created with Planner Premium but they cannot add new properties, change layouts of object editors or add formulas. Such a limited functionality helps keeping all plan files compatible and enforcing a project management standard in a workgroup or company. This together with reporting capabilities of Professional and Premium makes it easier to create coherent project management environment with a little financial commitment

Planner Viewer is a free software that is installed with each Planner installation. It is free so everyone involved in a project who needs to have access to plan files but does not need to change it, can install the Viewer and open plan files in ‘read-only’ mode. Since Viewer users have access to all plan data, so it is not recommended to give them access to plans with confidential data.
